2024 grant applications

The mission of the MPSD Foundation is to cultivate student success by engaging business and community leaders to empower teachers with innovative instruction that leads to enriched student outcomes.

MPSD Foundation Mini-Grants are open to any teacher in the Meridian Public School District.

As you complete the application, be creative, be specific, and be passionate. It is important that the grant application be professionally presented, with ideas that are innovative, impact student learning, evaluate student performance, and finally, justify the funding request.

The deadline to submit submissions for the MPSD Foundation Mini-Grants is Friday, January 19, 2024. Grant recipients will be notified in February and the reception will be held at a date to be determined.

Grant recipients will be awarded up to $500.

You can submit your application 2 ways:

1. Fill out the Online Application.
2. Download the application at the bottom of the page and email it to info@mpsdfoundation.org.

Important

This project must be approved by your school administration. Make sure to attach approval with your application request.

Ideas we want to fund

• Materials above and basic needs -- think outside the box!
• Real-world experiences - field trips and career connections that clearly align with the curriculum being taught, connecting with local businesses, etc...
• Academic joy -- making learning fun!

Examples of grant requests we will not be able to fund

• Classroom seating options (examples: yoga balls, standing desks, etc...)
• Facility-related equipment ( examples: desk, chairs, etc.)
• Technology

All applications will be evaluated by our Board of Directors, which is made up of local business leaders. Please avoid using acronyms and teacher terminology that business people may not understand.
